Before your visit

Frequently asked questions

Practical information about assessment, treatment options, booking and safety before visiting Soah Physical Therapy Clinic in Hat Yai.

Do I need an appointment?

Booking in advance is recommended so the clinic can reserve enough time for assessment and reduce waiting time. You can contact us on LINE @soahclinic or call 090 888 3772.

What happens at the first visit?

A physiotherapist will ask about your symptoms, medical history and goals, then assess movement, strength and other relevant findings before discussing a rehabilitation plan.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows the painful area and relevant joints to move freely. Bring any useful medical reports or imaging you already have.

How many physical therapy sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number that is appropriate for everyone. Frequency and duration depend on the condition, how long symptoms have been present, functional goals and response to rehabilitation.

Do you use Shockwave Therapy?

Yes. Shockwave may be considered for selected musculoskeletal or tendon problems after assessment. It is not automatically suitable for every painful condition.

What is PMS?

Peripheral Magnetic Stimulation uses a magnetic field to stimulate peripheral nerves and muscles. Suitability depends on the assessment and important precautions such as implanted electronic devices.

Are treatment machines required at every visit?

No. Exercise, movement retraining, education and manual therapy may be more important for some conditions. Modalities are used only when they support a clear goal.

What health information should I tell the physiotherapist?

Please mention significant medical conditions, pregnancy, recent surgery, medications, implanted devices, numbness, weakness and any other information that may affect treatment safety.

When should I seek urgent medical care instead of booking physical therapy?

Seek urgent medical assessment for severe trauma, rapidly increasing weakness or numbness, new bowel or bladder changes, chest pain, breathing difficulty, severe unexplained pain, high fever or other emergency symptoms.
